Antique Silver Plate 27-Piece Punch Bowl Set 24 Cups, Tray, Ladle. RWallace EXC
The Grand Antique Mall, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, presents an Antique Silver Plate 27-Piece Punch Bowl Set: Ladle by R. Wallace 1835; Punch Bowl, 24 matching cups and tray by WEBSTER WILCOX. Hi-relief pattern, chasing and embossing, on bowl and cups. Bowl has 4 crests; cups have 2 (1 on each side). Heart-like crest is flanked by oak leaves and at the apex is a single rose. Upper part of handle rises above the cup’s rim. Round tray, also by WEBSTER WILCOX, in pattern #374, blends well with the bowl (#345) and its matching 1-handle cups (#346). Wallace punch ladle features in-relief pattern, “Floral Grape”, on both sides of the handle and 2-sided pouring spouts. DIMENSIONS: Bowl= 8″H; Diameter=16″. Cups= 3-1/8″H including handle + 2-1/2″H without handle; Diameter=5. Tray= Diameter= 21-1/8″ + 1″H. Ladle=14-1/2″Long; Width between spouts= 5″. WT= 17.50 lbs. Wallace ladle was created in 1902, while the WEBSTER WILCOX pieces were created in 1954. The 27 pieces are of the highest quality silver plate. No buffing or machine polishing. No monograms, removals, alterations, or repairs with the exception of a single cup handle repair by jeweler. Interior of bowl has a dime-size tarnish spot (photo #8).
